Villa Leonardo

Villa Leonardo is in a rural location within walking distance to Bucchianico town which has a variety of bars and restaurants. The villa is situated in an acre of olive grove, which is also accessible to guests.

The property has a purpose built secluded courtyard area with a plungepool, water feature, and BBQ and dining area.

The apartments have independent access and the English/Italian speaking owners are on hand to provide assistance, guidance and local knowledge when needed.

Every window has a different beautiful view of the valley/mountains. The balconies are ideal for breakfast and the terrace and courtyard are perfect for evening meals, drinks and relaxing. Hammocks in the olive grove are the perfect vantage point from which to chill out and plan your next move. Both apartments have private balconies with stunning views of either the Majella or the Gran Sasso mountain range.

Bucchianico

The picturesque medieval town of Bucchianico which is just a short walk from Villa Leonardo is a maze of stone paved alleys, historical Palazzi and churches. The town is rich in culture, history and folklore. It sits high above the Alento river valley where its panoramic views extend from the Majella to the Gran Sasso mountain ranges and sweep down to the Adriatic coastline.

Not being on the mass tourism circuit, the locals treat our guests with enthusiasm, respect and a healthy curiosity! The town benefits from having not one, but two Patron Saints and this provides the back drop for a long season of festas and celebrations.

Abruzzo

The area is popular with travellers all year round: summer on the beach, winter on the ski slopes and at any time there are many opportunities for outdoor activites such as hiking, biking and climbing.  For those who want to take it easy, the area is rich in history and has an abundance of fantastic restaurants, local winerys and farms where one can visit and sample the local produce.  There are also many historic towns to visit and an abundance of local festivals.

The ancient town of Chieti is only a 10min drive away and the vibrant city of Pescara is 25km away. Many other mountain villages are easily accessible.

The ski resort of Passo Lanciano is only 29km away, on a clear day some ski runs can be seen from the villa!! Passo Lancicano is extremely popular with locals and significantly cheaper than the more publicised alpine resorts.

We are located 30 minutes from Pescara airport, 30 minutes from the ski resort, 15 minutes from the Majella National Park. Perfect for the beach, hiking, biking, culture or for a skiing holiday.
